What better way to celebrate Earth Day than to recap project week, during which our students explored The Wild Robot through a faith-filled lens, focusing on how we can add beauty and sustainability to our world using the unique talents God has given us. From creative art pieces to eco-friendly inventions, each project reflected thoughtful care for creation and a celebration of the gifts we’ve been blessed with. We are grateful for all those who were able to attend our Project Showcase on Wednesday evening!

Today, the Ecole St. Mary School community joins Catholics around the world in mourning the passing of Pope St. Francis. We honor his life of faith, humility, and unwavering dedication to the service of God and humanity. May his legacy continue to inspire us, and may he rest in eternal peace.

-Monday, April 21: Easter Monday (No School)
-Tuesday, April 22: Support staff appreciation begins, crib club at lunch, grade six vaccinations & badminton after school for grade 4.
-Wednesday, April 23: Admin Professional Day (spoiling our amazing secretaries), art club at lunch & grade five badminton after school.
-Thursday, April 24: Lockdown drill practice, swimming 5-2 & 6-1 & grade six badminton after school.
-Friday, April 25: Pizza day & 4-1 & 4-2 swimming.

As part of our professional learning today, we took time for a meaningful Lenten renewal and explored new tools and strategies to better serve our students in the classroom. We were blessed to have Father Michael join us for thoughtful conversations, prayer and lunch.
The staff at École St. Mary would like to wish you and your families a joyful and blessed Easter. We will see everyone back on Tuesday, April 22.

The programs goal is to:
-help children learn confidence and resiliency, learn about healthy relationships, and develop strong communication skills.
- Help children learn to develop a safety plan.
-And help children identify their feelings and express them in a non-violent way.

This program will be offered by 2 staff members in the FCSS department at the Town of Whitecourt
