Students in Miss Novelletto’s class have been working on planning a Christmas vacation! They had to work together with a budget of $2500 to ensure they met all the requirements. This task included problem solving while using addition, subtraction, and multiplication. Real world learning at its finest!

We also have our last Advent celebration (Peace) @ 11am

It's the final week before Christmas break at École St. Mary, and the excitement is at a level 10 – and we’re here for it! We’re looking forward to our festive theme days, a Christmas lunch, our awards assembly, the last Advent celebration of Peace, and a special party for Jesus on the last day of school! Let’s finish 2024 with joy and celebration.
-Monday, December 16: Candy cane Monday-wear red and white, & Christmas lunch for all students & staff.
-Tuesday, December 17: Tree Topper Tuesday: wear a festive hat, awards assembly at 11 & grade six town showcase from 1-3pm.
-Wednesday, December 18: What not to Wear Wednesday: Ugly sweater day & Advent celebration (Peace).
-Thursday, December 19: Tinsel Toe Thursday: wear festive socks & school messenger sent via email to all parents.
-Friday, December 20: Flannel Friday: wear festive pjs, classroom birthday celebrations for Jesus & last day of school for 2024!

Sockin' around the Christmas tree in style. We’re so excited to support small businesses—especially a talented student from our sister school! Max, thank you for all of your hard work! The shark socks are absolutely amazing.
We have approximately twenty extra pairs of socks to purchase if your child is interested. We can also place another order in the New Year!

Doors Open Grade 4&5 program is coming up on Tuesday, December 17, Holiday Extravaganza!
One of our staff will be on the bus to welcome the children as we arrive at each school. No advance registration is required for the bus.

The Doors Open bus will stop at the following locations and times:
Central School (transit stop across from library #6) – 3:20pm
St. Mary School (transit stop on trading post trail #10) – 3:25pm
Pat Hardy School (the bus will stop in front of the school on Feero) – 3:35pm
Arrive at AJMC – 3:40pm

Participants are also welcome to be dropped off by caregivers or get to the program another way without registration.

Today began our December Charity Donation Option Block—a wonderful initiative where students are creating heartfelt items to share with those who deserve a little extra cheer this holiday season. From handmade cards and crafts, to bracelets, baked goods, and cat & dog toys, our students are pouring their creativity and kindness into every item.
These special gifts will be delivered on the afternoon December 18, spreading warmth, joy, and love to those in need.
We’re so proud of our students for embracing the spirit of giving and putting their faith into action this Christmas.
